Where does the time go?

Another week come and gone. GAH! I am really behind in my blog reading and commenting lately. When I get home from work I let the chickens out in the yard, make some tea and put on my clogging shoes and practice, practice, practice. It has been really lovely here in the Willamette Valley the last two weeks. I have a hard time wanting to be tied to the computer any more than I already am at work. I have about 20+ tomato plants in the ground along with lots of basil. The chickens have already found the ripe strawberries. I planted some russet potatoes and some beets and carrots. I want to get some more tomato plants and oh yeah, I have some cucumber plants and a spaghetti squash. Hopefully I'll get quite a few blueberries this year.
I think posting and probably reading other blogs is going to be sporadic for awhile. While I am here though have you all heard about monkeysee.com? I found some really clear helpful videos on clogging. I haven't looked at what all is there but it looks like a possible reference for just about anything.

Thursday? Already? A partial update...

I was sitting in the garden last evening talking to the chickens. Buffy came running over to me and jumped up on my lap. She started grooming her feathers as I petted her and then she hunkered down for a little nap. All in all she was on my lap, with no restraint by me, for over 10 minutes. Chicken love is swell.
Last weekend I took an ArtClay class. (More on that in another post.) The class was held next door to a Square dance and Clogging hall. The Clogging classes were part of a weekend long conference. Anyway, I am taking my first ever Clogging class this evening! I am so excited! I had called about taking East Coast Swing classes and I still might, but it took the instructor over a week to return my calls and email. I wasn't impressed with the customer service and general attitude. Clogging makes so much more sense to me anyway. I like the music already, it is generally not a partner dance and it is really aerobic AND you get to make noise! During the classes on Saturday the dancers danced to rock, folk and even a slightly jazzy sounding song. SWEET!

Guess WHO will be hosting Masterpiece?!!!?

Heh, heh...there is a clue in the post title. I am such a nerd, I know! David Tennant! I am off to do some hooping and go for a walk. Enjoy the sunshine if you are in Oregon!

100th post...finally!

What do you see in the picture? What could it be? This has nothing to do with anything in particular, I just thought it was kind of cool looking. It is hot coals in a blacksmith's forge.
Angelina at dustpanalley.com just saw Twilight. As I mentioned in a post last week I saw it recently as well. I downplayed how much I liked it and the books because I thought I was a total dork to get sucked (umm, that wasn't on purpose) into it. My friend Alysse of blissmonkeystudio.blogspot.com informed me she enjoyed the books as well. Yeah! I am not a dork (or if I am, I am in very good company!)
Onto a different topic...I called a local dance studio today about private dance lessons. I have been walking an hour a day for the last couple of weeks. There is a great walk near my house that is pretty much on a bike path the whole way. Some of it is along a canal. The ducklings are out in full force. I feel pretty good about the walking but it isn't enough. I am a closet dancer. (Not to be confused with a pole dancer...) I used to bellydance but I don't have much interest in it anymore. I'd like to learn the Charleston and the Lindy Hop and the Jitterbug. I am not the most graceful of creatures. Instead of jumping into a class with lots of other people at varying levels of skill I thought it might be best to get some confidence with a few private lessons first. This last month I have been at loose ends on Friday nights. I have been wanting to go dancing but lacking confidence and skills kept me home with Edward and Bella and Dr Who. Anyone else a closet dancer?

Meet the wee ones...

Meet the fabulous Buffy.

This Agatha. She is the older, bigger bully. These pictures are about 3 weeks old. I will try to get some current pictures posted soon.
I had a calm, peaceful weekend not getting the things I planned on doing done but accomplishing quite a bit anyway. I have been having some pain issues with my right hand off and on for about a month or so. It seems to be better now-fingers crossed. I am still debating on getting an iPod. Technology-ugh. I am barely friends with a sewing machine but the idea of having my own portable personal soundtrack is very appealing. I am convinced that my mood is much better with the appropriate music. Not exactly the stuff of exciting blog posts...
